Ellison confirmed for final four races

WCM have confirmed that James Ellison will compete in the final four rounds of the MotoGP World Championship after impressing in his two previous appearances on their four-stroke prototype machine this season.

Ellison, who won the British Superbike Cup for independent teams and riders after finishing twelfth overall in the highly competitive series on a privateer Yamaha, just missed out on the points at Estoril three weeks ago before missing the action altogether at Motegi as he returned to national duty.

However, the 23-year-old will be back on the Grand Prix scene in Qatar, where he is hoping to boost his growing reputation. "This is a great opportunity for me to settle in and show what I can really do," says Ellison, who made his MotoGP debut at Brno.

"In the previous two rounds, it was a case of stepping off the bike I was racing in Britain and straight onto the MotoGP bike. There is a world of difference. Now, I can really get to grips with the job."
