James Haydon glad to be back

British Superbike regular James Haydon made his return to Grand Prix action at the Losail International Circuit today after an eight-year absence. The 29-year-old took the place of the injured Kurtis Roberts at Proton Team KR and provisionally qualified 21st fastest for the Marlboro Grand Prix of Qatar

Haydon has not competed in Grand Prix since 1996, when he took a best finish of ninth place at Paul Ricard riding the 500cc ROC Yamaha. Since then he has gained valuable four-stroke experience in British and World Superbike racing and finished eighth in this year's national series, which ended at Donington Park last weekend.
