More technical problems for Stoner

Casey Stoner's wretched run of bad luck continued in Qatar on Saturday, his KTM again breaking down and leaving the Australian youngster out of the battle for victory. Stoner led the way for the opening stages of the 125cc race but suffered a double whammy after just a handful of laps.

"First of all my rear brake failed and that meant I could only brake with the front," explained Stoner, who was also suffering from a virus. "It actually wasn't too bad and I was able to keep pace with the front guys, but then the engine seized.

"I really don't know what I have done to deserve all of these problems, but I guess it is just bad luck and it has to end sooner or later. I know the team are working hard and they don't deserve this either. Hopefully things will turn around in Malaysia and we can end the season on a high."
