Haydon continues for Roberts at Proton Team KR

James Haydon will continue for at least one more race in place of the injured Kurtis Roberts at Proton Team KR. Roberts fractured his elbow and wrist in a crash at Brno in August and is recovering at home in California, alongside his brother Kenny, who dislocated his elbow at Motegi and is again replaced by Yukio Kagayama at Suzuki.

"I arrived back from Qatar on Monday and four hours later I got a call from the team telling me to pack my things out to Malayisa, so it's been a chaotic few days!" commented Haydon, who will make his second appearance in Proton Team KR colours after also riding at Qatar.

"I really enjoyed being back in the paddock in Qatar and it was fun to ride the bike, although it is very difficult to get up to speed at this stage of the season when all the other riders have been developing their bikes for almost a year.

"It's good to get another chance to continue my adaptation to the V5 and it should be easier this weekend than it was in Qatar. It's a good experience for me to work with a team like Proton Team KR, they are all so professional, and it's a nice way for me to finish my personal season, competing at the highest level."
