Ellison gets WCM V6 ride for 2005

WCM have confirmed that James Ellison will contest the 2005 MotoGP World Championship on their new Blata V6 prototype after impressing in a series of replacement rides this season. Ellison scored points in his second appearance on the team's current Harris WCM V4 machine at Qatar and lapped consistently close to the lap times set by several factory rivals at Sepang and Phillip Island.

"We have been really impressed with James' performances and attitude this season and I am pleased to confirm that he will be contesting the full season with us next year," said Team Owner Peter Clifford.

"He is a young rider with a bright future and we think his enthusiasm and approach will be ideal for our project next season.

"The V6 project with Blata is a very exciting prospect for us and development is already underway. We are looking forward to announcing our preseason testing plans and a second rider soon."
