Denning set for Valencia ‘crash course'

Paul Denning will be at the Gran Premio Marlboro de la Comunitat Valenciana for a ‘crash course' in the workings of Team Suzuki. Denning is set to take over the reigns of Team Manager from Garry Taylor at the end of the season after enjoying several years of success at the head of the Crescent Suzuki team in the British Superbike Championship and will work alongside Taylor this weekend.

"I'm very much looking forward to my first weekend with the MotoGP team to get my own viewpoint on the strong and less strong points," said Denning, who won the BSB title this season with John Reynolds. "Valencia will be like a crash course – on where the team is at and how to move it forward.

"I'll be looking to Garry Taylor for help, with his years of experience with the team, and looking for ways to continue the strong development of this year to make the Suzuki GSV-R regularly competitive in 2005."

Taylor is stepping down after 29 years and 390 Grands Prix with Suzuki, having enjoyed glorious World Championship winning campaigns with Barry Sheene, Kevin Schwantz and Kenny Roberts.
