Garry McCoy on his return to MotoGP

After his move out of Kawasaki and MotoGP at the end of last year, Garry McCoy returned to Grand Prix action for the final three races of the season as a replacement for British rider Shane Byrne – ruled out with his fractured scaphoid.

McCoy, who has spent the season in the World Superbike Championship, rides Byrne's MS Aprilia RS Cube in the MotoGP class and many have been keeping one eye out to see if he can tame the notorious triple and reproduce some of the famous rear-tyre smoking action that earned him the nickname ‘King of Slide' in his Grand Prix years.

The Australian returns to Valencia this weekend hoping he can reproduce the form which saw him take victory there on the two-stroke Yamaha in 2000 and make enough of an impression to seal a return to motorcycle racing's premier-class next season.

In this exclusive interview, McCoy discusses his feelings on his return to MotoGP, his season in the World Superbike series and his hopes for the present and the future. Just click on the link at the top of the page.
