Pedrosa aims for dream ending

Dani Pedrosa says victory at Valencia this weekend would "cap off a dream season" as he looks to celebrate his 250cc World Championship success with over 120,000 fans. Pedrosa clinched the title with fourth place at Phillip Island ten days ago, having been unable to celebrate 125cc glory at his home track one year ago because of broken ankles, says he wants to sign off in style this time around.

"I know that Valencia will be a very special race for us and I'm really looking forward to getting there because last season I missed out through injury," said Pedrosa, who is only the second Spaniard ever to win the 250cc World Championship behind Sito Pons.

"To go back as World Champion is fantastic but I don't want to relax just yet. I was really happy in Australia because we won the title, something which was unthinkable at the start of the season, but the one thing I wasn't too satisfied with was fourth place.

"So, in Valencia we have to stay really concentrated, do well in the practice sessions and try and get the best possible result in the race to cap off a dream season."
