Barros reflects on first test with Camel Honda

Alex Barros returned to the Honda satellite team run by Sito Pons last week and immediately picked up where he left off. The Brazilian, who took victory in his final race for the team at Valencia in 2002 before joining Yamaha and then Repsol Honda, was the fastest Japanese factory rider in a private test at the Spanish circuit despite only taking part in the final day.

Later, he revealed the importance of the first test with the Camel Honda team to motogp.com.

"Well, it's the first time I ride for the team and we have some new members in the team but basically all the people I know and I feel like home," said Barros.

"The machine basically is the same machine as the last GP, just this test is important for the riders to start to change, for the new mechanics to fix all the system.

"Also it's important to ride, to not stop so much. Now you are obligated to not test for almost two months and it's important to ride today, on the last day, just to have broken this one month that I have stopped. Everything should be all ready for February when the tests begin."
