Jorge Lorenzo adapting to life in 250

Jorge Lorenzo has taken to the 250cc class like the proverbial duck to water in the first series of winter tests which have taken place in Spain during November. Lorenzo had his first taste of the Honda RSW at Valencia at the start of the month and, after heading south to Jerez for a further three days of tests, was back at the Ricardo Tormo for a second time last week.

"Coming here again, the bike felt more like my own," said Lorenzo, who lapped inside record pace on the Fortuna Honda machine. "It felt like it had less power. I was much more in control of it and from the start I've been lapping quickly.

"The only thing is I ran straight and lost the part of the day when I could have set a better time. In the afternoon the track was a little cold and it was difficult to go any faster."
