‘Fifteen Times', the biography of Agostini is launched

This week in Milán the launch of ‘Quindici volte' ('Fifteen Times'), a biography of the legendary Giacomo Agostini, took place in front of the public and a generous representation from the motorsport world. The book was written by Agostini himself and renowned Italian journalist Luca Delli Carri. The title refers to the 15 World Championships won by Agostini in his lengthy career, a phenomenal record that today, thirty years on from his last winning achievement, still looks unlikely to be beaten.

The story and efforts of Agostini have been the subject of many books in the past but ‘Fifteen Times' involves the Champion himself taking a look back at his childhood, the path to glory, the victories and a few of the low points of his career. Agostini has been extremely open with Delli Carri and at 177 pages long, the book not only deals with recollections of his races, rivals and battles but also some more personal and intimate memories.

Complimenting the retrospective glance, the publication – printed by Fusina and costing €20 - includes 100 black and white photos typical of the age, chosen especially by the ex-rider to illustrate his exceptional rise to stardom.
