Campetella announce Baldolini signature
Campetella Racing have announced that Italian youngster Alex Baldolini will ride
an Aprilia 250RS with team in the 250cc World Championship in 2005. The 19-
year-old finished 18th in the championship in 2004 with a best result of tenth at Valencia.
"Alex is a young rider and I'm convinced that he has all the necessary skills to do well," said Team Manager Eros Braconi, who has yet announce a second rider. "We will work hard in 2005 to make him become one of the protagonists of 2006."
It will be Baldolini's third season in Grand Prix and the youngster is hopeful of consolidating his position on the world stage with improved machinery. "I'm very happy that I'm finally part of one of the best team riding with non-factory bikes," he said. "We have the means and the potential to do well next season and that's what I'm hoping for."
