Semprucci switches from Malaguti to Aprilia

Among the newcomers in the 125 class, the World Championship will see a totally revamped Semprucci team lining up two youngsters, Dario Giusepetti and Karel Abraham.

Last year, the Semprucci team was in charge of Malaguti's effort in the minor class with Gabor Talmacsi and Manuel Manna. In 2005, they switch to Aprilia with direct factory support.

Giusepetti isn't a new face in the paddock: in 2004, the 19-year-old Italian rode a Honda for the Elit Grand Prix team and previously joined the Semprucci team as substitute to Noboru Ueda when the Japanese got injured during the 2002 season. His new team mate Abraham is one of the Czech rookies who will discover Grand Prix racing this year, as he has just celebrated his 15th birthday.

"We will be testing at Jerez on the 20th and 21st of January, but we may also start testing earlier," explained team manager Giorgio Semprucci. "We planned to follow Aprilia's testing schedule, however our riders don't know the bike, and I believe we could use an extra session so they can get used to the machine they will use next season and to rack up mileage."
