Arnaud Vincent visits Fantic Motor

Just over a month on from signing a deal with Fantic Motor to contest the 250cc World Championship in 2005, Arnaud Vincent travelled to Modena in Italy to get to know his new team earlier this week.

After spending his rookie season in the category with the Equipe de France Grand Prix last year, Vincent has accepted a fresh challenge as Fantic launch their first ever World Championship campaign and he was satisfied with the progress being made.

"The bike is still in the early stages of construction and should be ready in February," commented the former 125cc World Champion, who was advised on development of the V-Twin motor, built in collaboration with Formula 1 and Rally experts CRP Technology, by crew chief Franco Moro.

"The visit gave me the opportunity to get to know some of the technical staff, although with it being a new team they will be bringing in a lot more personnel between now and the end of the season.

"The new project is interesting but the team needs time to get everything in place. Building a bike from scratch also takes time. For the time being there is no date set for the first test but after spending the holidays with my family I am back in training to make sure I am ready from the start."
