Cold snap freezes lap times at Jerez

Casey Stoner left Aprilia's first 250cc tests of the 2005 preseason with the fastest overall time after another sunny but cold day at Jerez left his best lap from yesterday out of the reach of Sebastian Porto.

With the Spanish circuit victim to the icy cold snap that has gripped much of Europe this week, the Argentinean was the only rider to dip under the 1'44 mark as he stopped the clock at 1'43.816, just short of the Australian, who was the only 250cc rider to crash today.
