Heidolf and Cortese presented by Kiefer-Bos-Castrol-Honda

The Kiefer-Bos-Castrol-Honda Team made their official presentation in Germany this weekend, with Dirk Heidolf and Sandro Cortese unveiling their 250cc and 125cc Honda machines respectively.

Team Manager Stefan Kiefer expressed his satisfaction at the line-up, after a mixed 2004 season which saw regular rider Christian Gemmel retire from the sport and his experienced compatriot Klaus Nohles step in for the remainder of the season.

"I am very satisfied with the new team and I look forward to a good relationship in 2005", said Kiefer. "Because we got the kit just today, we are not ready yet with the bike, but with this great cooperation in the team it should be ready in time.

"It will be a very difficult season, there are 13 factory bikes and for Dirk it will be hard to be competitive there, but we will try to get into the points at every race. Many riders from 125cc have stepped up to 250cc, so this year the 125 category will not be as strong as the years before."

Cortese revealed his excitement at the opportunity to contest his debut season in the 125cc World Championship. "It always was a dream of mine to be a part of Grand Prix and I am quite excited, but I will try to keep cool and to just learn," he said "I don't have high expectations for this season and we will see what I can go for."

Heidolf and Cortese will be in action for the first time together alongside several other 250cc and 125cc rivals in a private test at Valencia later this week.
