Gibernau: "The best is yet to come"

Sete Gibernau swapped his usual Honda for a powerful snowmobile, on the slopes of the Spanish Baqueira Beret ski resort. After the recent tests held in Malaysia and Australia, the Telefonica Movistar Honda rider shared his first impressions during this media event, on Friday afternoon.

The Spanish rider is satisfied with the progress made so far, but looks forward to the Official Test at Catalunya, where he will ride the latest evolution of the RC211V: "There will see the fruits of the work done during the winter tests," said Gibernau. "I think the best is yet to come. I feel like I reach the best moment of my career. I want to be World Champion, but we have to keep progressing one step at a time."

"We have all the elements to win. The fact that Honda is helping me is the consequence of the work done so far. The main thing is, if any kind of problem emerges, I'm interested in having them helping me. I think my work gave me some weight in my relationships with Honda and Michelin."

Before the press conference, Gibernau took part in a karting exhibition race against members of the press. The group enjoyed a ride through the Montgarri valley on snowmobiles, before going back to Barcelona by helicopter.
