The MS Aprilia Italia Corse riders met the National Acrobatic Patrol pilots - the "Frecce Tricolori", on Friday at the Rivolto base. Alex de Angelis and Simone Corsi took a trip with the flying display team on Aermacchi MB339A jet trainers.

"It was great to have such an opportunity, to see such a myth in action was really thrilling" said Alex de Angelis, who also treated Major Paolo Tarantino – commandant of the 313th AA Group, to a ride on a RSV 1000 Aprilia. "The Frecce Tricolori pilots have many things in common with us, their preparation is very thorough and meticulous, and there is the obvious relation to the speed and to the machine."

His new teammate, 250 rookie Simone Corsi, was equally enthusiastic about the experience and commented: "Meeting the famous ten pilots from the Frecce was quite a bliss, a dream coming true! I'm fond of aircrafts and for me, the ones from the NAP are the most beautiful – it must be amazing to pilot one of these, I should ask Rossano Brazzi (the team technical director) to swap rides!"

After this event, de Angelis and Corsi are set to resume testing: the MS Aprilia Italia Corse riders will join the rest of the 250 field next week at Catalunya, for the first Official Test session of the pre-season.
