Clarence Seedorf and Roberto Carlos unveil 125 effort

The new Seedorf RC3 – Tiempo Holidays team was launched this week-end in Madrid, just a month before the start of the 125 World Championship at Jerez.

The team, backed by world class footballers Clarence Seedorf and Roberto Carlos, will line-up Alvaro Bautista and Aleix Espargaró in the minor class on Honda machinery, hoping to fight for top positions in the category.

"Today is a great display of the spirit of the Seedorf RC3 team as we are all set for the 2005 season. We have two young and talented riders and we hope to achieve better results than last year," said team owner Clarence Seedorf, who previously supported last year runner-up Hector Barberá.

The Dutch footballer has a new partner this year in the person of Roberto Carlos, his former teammate at the Real Madrid.
The Brazilian commented: "Being here with my team and presenting our project is a great satisfaction. We have an incredible group of highly qualified people. I believe that Alvaro and Aleix will be the best incarnation of the winning spirit I share with Clarence."

Alvaro Bautista, who finished seventh overall last year, echoed the enthusiasm of the team co-owners.
"I'm really looking forward to the start of the Championship to pay back Clarence, Roberto Carlos, the team and our sponsors for their support. I'll make sure to give my best on the bike."

The team will also line-up rookie Aleix Espargaró, who clinched the 125 Spanish crown in 2004. "For me, every day is like a dream," said the 16 year-old from Granollers. "I'll be racing for the first time in the World Championship with the best team and with the support of two special people like Clarence and Roberto Carlos. I hope to pay them back on the track."
