Spanish rookie Toni Elias will be the smallest rider of the MotoGP field this year, with a height of 163cm, but even if this factor may prove to be a handicap in his switch to the premier class, he's keen to learn as much as he can.

"I'm very happy to be given such an opportunity to compete in a great class like MotoGP, I´m lucky to be up against very good riders," said the Fortuna Yamaha representative.

"For sure my size is a bit of problem. I'm small and taming a powerful machine like the MotoGP bike is tough," admitted the Catalan. "Over the winter, I dedicated a lot of time to my training, in order to be as fit as possible, and I have to keep working to be stronger and able to get used to MotoGP as soon as possible."

"This will be a learning year, I haven't set any target, I have to keep working and look at the way the big names of the class do things, that's the most important."
