Fortuna Racing presents new line-up

The Fortuna Racing Team presented its 2005 line-up yesterday in Madrid, as the Spanish brand continues its involvement in the MotoGP and the 250 classes. The Fortuna colours will be represented by four Spanish riders: Jorge Lorenzo and Hector Barbera in the quarter litre class, Toni Elias and Ruben Xaus in MotoGP. The presentation was hosted by Sonia Ferrer from TVE.

Fierce rivals last year in the 125 class, Lorenzo and Barbera team up to form one of the most promising duet of the 250 field, and both are obviously excited by this new challenge. "I'm pleased to be part of this project. I'm here to win races and I hope we'll be successful. There are many great riders in this class and this season will be very exciting," commented Lorenzo. His teammate Barbera added: "I want to enjoy racing and to enjoy it with the whole team: then we'll know we are up there."

In the MotoGP class, Fortuna will line up Toni Elias, alongside 2004 Rookie of the Year Ruben Xaus. Elias looks forward to gaining experience in the class while Xaus will try to consolidate his position after a promising debut season.
"I hope to get used quickly to the MotoGP class with Yamaha. I'm one of the youngest riders of the class and I hope to enjoy every race. I have a winner spirit and I'm not ready to change," said Elias.

Ruben Xaus added: "It's great that Fortuna formed a 100% Spanish line-up with riders who are so motivated. I think we can all achieve great things."
