Vincent set for a busy season

The official tests held at Catalunya and Jerez allowed the Fantic Motor team to give its new R250 a shakedown before the beginning of the season. As the team's previous winter tests were cancelled due to bad weather, it was the first time Arnaud Vincent rode the bike.

"At Catalunya, the bike was just out of the box, so it wasn't a proper testing session but an opportunity to check everything was ok," explained Vincent. "We would have liked to do it earlier, but the tests we planned previously were cancelled because of the weather."

"Despite the usual teething problems, I was glad to be back on track: I had been waiting for this moment all winter !"

"Last week at Jerez, we did plenty of laps on the first day, so we were able to gain experience with the bike, collecting data. The day after, it was a bit more complicated as we started a bit late and what we tried didn't bring the results we hoped."

As he was off the pace during the tests, just like teammate Gabriele Ferro, the Frenchman remained realistic about the tough task lying ahead.
"We still have a long way to go and this season will be tough, there's a lot of work to do and the first four races won't give us much time to improve."

"Since the beginning of the year, the team has been doing a huge job and Franco Moro, the technical director, has really been dedicated and spent a lot of energy. However, we have to keep working hard if we want to reach a decent level."

"This year will be very demanding, very challenging. I also have to do my best and provide as much feedback as I can so the team can work in the good direction. There's no other option if I want to get better results compared to the last two seasons."
