Repsol Honda holds presentation at Jerez

The Repsol Honda team presentation took place tonight at the Montecastillo hotel, in the outskirts of the Jerez circuit. This year, the team will line up Max Biaggi and Nicky Hayden in a bid to regain the MotoGP World Championship title.

"We are ready after many tests and we now have a much improved RC211V compared to last year," said HRC managing director Satoru Horiike. "We have two great riders in Max and Nicky. Max is an experienced riders and he knows how to win races, on the other hand, Nicky is young, but he has now reach the level to start winning races."

"I'm very glad to join the HRC and I'll try my best with the Repsol Honda," declared Max Biaggi, who went on to comment on the progress made on the first day of free practice at Jerez. "The previous test wasn't fantastic, but today we found a way to improve the bike, as my team did a tremendous job. The bike is getting better and better and it should be a great season."

"Testing is over, and I'm glad. Now we are back to racing, where the fun is at. Now it's up to us to put up a good fight," commented American youngster Nicky Hayden.

Before introducing the 2005 bikes and line-up, the team and their historical sponsors Repsol and Gas paid tribute to the their former rider, five time World Champion Mick Doohan, who ended his collaboration with the team during the winter.
"We wanted to thank Mick for the long and fantastic collaboration we had in the past," said HRC president Suguru Kanazawa, before presenting a special commemorating trophy to the Australian legend.
