MotoGP riders warm up the Portuguese crowd

Several Grand Prix riders took part in a spectacular parade in the streets of Estoril, just a couple of days before the betandwin.com Grande Premio de Portugal.

MotoGP riders Alex Barros, Makoto Tamada and Alex Hofmann were joined on Wednesday afternoon by 250 stars Casey Stoner and Hector Barbera and 125 riders Pablo Nieto and Mika Kallio for a quick ride on the main avenue leading to the Casino Estoril, and provided plenty of crowd-pleasing wheelies and burnouts.

After the ever-popular autograph session, Brazilian rider Alex Barros said he felt ‘at home', having Portuguese origins. "We won't race in Brazil this year, but coming here is like going home, because the two countries have a close relationship and my father has Portuguese roots. I hope the crowd enjoyed the show," commented the Camel Honda rider.
