Fantic to sit out Chinese GP

The Fantic team will not take part in the next round of the 250 World Championship, the Grand Prix of China. The Italian team, which debuts this year in Grand Prix racing, has decided to stay in Europe to improve their new bike.

The team planned to test in the next few days at the Adria circuit or in Rijeka, Croatia, depending on the availability of the tracks. Fantic is determined to provide more competitive machinery to their riders for the French and Italian GPs, the home races of Arnaud Vincent and Gabriele Ferro respectively.

"After Jerez and Estoril, we decided not to go to China. We agreed it with IRTA, so we can make the most of the time it gives us to improve the bike," commented a spokesperson for the team. "This should be the only round Fantic will miss, as the team originally planned to enter all the rounds of the Championship."
