The first motorcycling GP event in Chinese history gets underway tomorrow as two days of practice sessions pave the way for the big race on Sunday. This afternoon (around 3pm, local time) a presentation was held on the grid of the Chinese circuit, allowing the media access to some of the sport's most renowned riders, including Valentino Rossi (Gauloises Yamaha), Troy Bayliss (Camel Honda) and Toni Elias (Fortuna Yamaha).

The riders were accompanied by their machines and traditional Chinese dragons and tigers. The session consisted of a short question-answer session for the riders, including local wildcard riders: Shi Zao Huang, Zhi Yu Huang and Zheng Peng Li.

"Very nice to be here, the circuit looks fantastic and the good weather is with us, I couldn't expect better conditions, explained Valentino Rossi. "We`re waiting impatiently for the race on Sunday, it will be also the chance to discover the Chinese crowd."

The session was followed by an autograph session to give the fans a chance to meet the racing heroes they've previously only seen on TV.
