Fantic sit out China and take the training to Adria

Fantic Motor did not enter into the first ever Chinese GP in shanghai on Sunday because the team wanted to make some refinements to the settings and mechanics of the bike – and get in some more private practice.

The team completed two session of private practice last week at the Italia Adria circuit, giving riders Arnaud Vincent and Gabriel Ferro the chance to rack-up some practice mileage before Le Mans.

During the session, the team focused on the bike's performance and introduced some new technology to further develop the bike.

Commenting on the session, technical director Franco Moro said, "The two sessions were very useful for us, at the end we made an exhaustive setting with the new material."

"The engine runs better in top speed and this probably is the most important result after these practices. Now we know the way to achieve some progress."

The team is determined to make it to Le Mans – Vincent's home track – with a more advanced and competitive Fantic bike.

"For sure we'll arrive in France with a Fantic which is more competitive than the one we put on the grid at Jerez and Estoril," added Moro. "In front of Vincent's attendance, we need a good R250 in the race.

"We're not thinking about overall results – step by step we have to achieve an identity and gain respect in the World Championship."
