Dani Pedrosa (Telefonica Movistar Honda) will start tomorrow's Grand Prix Alice de France in pole position after clocking the fastest lap of the second 250cc qualifying practice this afternoon at Le Mans.

The reigning World Champion set the best lap time of 1`37.391 to secure tomorrow's first grid position ahead of Australian Carrera Sunglasses – LCR rider Casey Stoner, who won the last two Grand Prix races back-to-back.

Spanish rider Jorge Lorenzo (Fortuna Honda) will start the GP in third place ahead of Argentinean Aprilia Aspar rider Sebastian Porto, who will complete the front row.

Current Championship leader Andrea Dovizioso (Team Scot) will head up the second row in fifth position ahead of Frenchman Randy Depuniet in sixth.

Alex de Angelis (MS Aprilia Italia Corse) and French rider Sylvain Guintoli (Equipe GP de France – Scrab) will complete the second row and Spain's Hector Barbera (Fortuna Honda) and Japan's Hiroshi Aoyama (Telefonica Movistar Honda 250cc) will occupy the final two top ten positions.
