Alzamora named General Director of Monlau Competition

Emilio Alzamora has been named as the new General Director of Monlau Competition. The appointment represents a new direction in the career of the former 125cc World Champion, who will continue his current duties in the CEV alongside his new role in the school of formation.

The Monlau Competition forms part of a great educational structure and is specialized in the mechanics of competition, involving both motorcycles and cars. The company has centres throughout Catalonia; three of which are located in Barcelona with a combined population of around 1.600 students.

Alzamora, who was previously Director of Sports, will assume his new duties immediately, replacing Dani Amatriaín. He will continue his role directing RACC-CAJA Madrid, the team that won the 125 Spanish Champion last year with rider Aleix Espargaró.

"Our courses are based on theory and mechanical practice and are taught by highly qualified teachers who also have competition experience," explained Alzamora. " Our students also have the opportunity to gain real-life experience alongside CEV teams that participate in the World Championship – Team Pons, Team Honda Fortune, Team BQR and the Team d' Antin, among others," he added.
