Dovizioso continues to fly high

As with many other riders in the MotoGP circuit, Andrea Dovizioso has taken advantage of the break between races to have some fun and indulge in some extracurricular activities.

The Kopron Racing team rider took advantage of a Red Bull offer to enjoy an action-packed day of airborne excitement. Dovizioso accompanied the Flying Bulls Aerobatics team to Thiene Airport (Italy) to participate in a fantastic session of aerial acrobatics. The spectacle was also enjoyed by other Italian sportsmen and personalities.

As with his usual sport of motorbike racing, the day involved engine power, high speed and risk, and the Italian was thrilled by the experience.

" The truth is, to turn four airplanes together with only a few metres between them is crazy," said the Italian, who is rapidly becoming one the most obvious contenders for the 250cc Championship. He currently occupies second place in the overall standings, just four points behind reigning world champ Dani Pedrosa.

Dovizioso temporarily moved into first place after the Shanghai race but was relegated to second at Le Mans after Pedrosa's French GP victory. With two second-place finishes and one third position in the last three races, he is proving to be a force to be reckoned in the 2005 season.
