Catalunya tickets selling like hotcakes

The Gran Premi Gauloises de Catalunya is set for a new record crowd as 70 000 tickets have already been sold. A week ahead the event, thirteen out of fourteen grandstands are sold out and the general admission tickets are selling like hotcakes.

The "sold out" sign was put up at ticket offices for the last Spanish Grand Prix. This year motorbike-race goers look set to smash last year's figures and set a new attendance record at the Circuit.

In order to improve ground spectators' comfort, and thus enjoyment of the event, the Circuit of Catalunya will set up five additional giant television screens at pelouse areas. Right now the circuit has 11 screens, all viewable from anywhere in the public areas, and the extra screens will boost coverage to 100 percent. The Circuit of Catalunya was one of the first circuits to set up giant screens for spectators and, with 16 screens, it will hold the record for having the most, making it one of the most enjoyable circuits for MotoGP spectators.
