Miralles and Faubel under medical scrutiny

Aspar riders Julian Miralles and Hector Faubel underwent several medical checks since last weekend Gran Premio Alice d'Italia at Mugello, as both Spaniards suffered heavy crashes.

Julian Miralles is currently undergoing treatment at the Florencia hospital, where he was evacuated after crashing in Saturday's afternoon final qualifying, and he's still waiting for clearance to come back to Spain.

Having suffered fractures to the tibial and to the malleolus of the right leg, the 16 year-old had surgery yesterday, in order to allow him to be transported to Valencia, where he will be treated by Dr. Angel Vilamor.

His team-mate Hector Faubel is already back in Spain where he had further medical checks after the CAT scanner he took after his crash on Sudany's race. He expects to be fit for next weekend's Gran Premi Gauloises de Catalunya.
