MotoGP stars on the pitch for Riders for Health

Sete Gibernau and his Telefonica Movistar team-mates Marco Melandri, Dani Pedrosa and Hiroshi Aoyama took the action away from the racetrack today, swapping asphalt for the football pitch of the Mini Estadi del Fútbol Club Barcelona.

The riders joined several sportsmen for a charity football game in order to collect funds for Riders for Health. The teams line-up included footballers Luis Enrique, Julio Salinas and Rafael Alkorta, but also tennis men Alex Corretja and Sergi Bruguera, alongside motorsports stars such as Nani Roma and Adam Raga.

The stars signed their shirts, which will be auctioned by Riders for Health at the end of the season at the Valencian GP. Gibernau proved to be the most skilled by scoring the first goal of the game with a penalty kick.
