Hayden joins MotoGP legends at Goodwood

Nicky Hayden left Assen immediately after last Saturday's race to fly to England to attend the Goodwood Festival of Speed with his father Earl and Honda Racing Corporation Managing Director Satoru Horiike.

The Repsol Honda rider attended the VIP ball, catching up with MotoGP legends such as 15-time World Champion Giacomo Agostini.

On Sunday Hayden was back on the saddle of his RC211V to perform a couple of runs on Goodwood's famous 1.1 hill climb. The 70, 000-strong crowd also enjoyed the sight of classic machines such as the Yamaha OW53R YZR 500 ridden by Agostini, the Honda NSR500 of Mick Doohan, Freddie Spencer and the 66' Honda RC149 of Luigi Taveri.

After the event, Hayden flew directly from England to the United States to prepare for his first home GP, the Red Bull US Grand Prix, which will take place next week at Laguna Seca.
