Aprilia and Honda pack-up at Brno

Several Aprilia and Honda teams concluded a two-day test yesterday at Brno, where Carrera Sunglasses LCR rider Casey Stoner was once again the fastest.

The Australian clocked 57 laps, with a best time set in 2'02.9. Along with the other Aprilia riders, he worked with the new airbox provided by the Italian factory, a new engine mapping and also tried various suspension settings.

"I'm very happy with the work we did today," said Stoner. "We have tested many new parts, mainly for the aerodynamics and the engine mapping. Aprilia did a very positive job and I was able to lap quite quickly without pushing too hard."

It was an uneventful day of testing for most of the riders, apart from Randy de Puniet who sustained a few scratches in a crash. Fortuna Honda's Jorge Lorenzo was once again second fastest, ahead of Andrea Dovizioso and Alex de Angelis.

In the 125 class, Thomas Lüthi joined his Honda colleague today and was the fastest ahead of Espargaro.
