Hayden brothers set for home reunion

The 2005 Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix will mark the return of the MotoGP World Championship to the United States for the first time since 1994 – it will also see the Hayden family reunited in competition.

For the first time since the 2002 season – which saw him clinching the AMA Superbike crown – Nicky Hayden will share the track with his brothers Tommy and Roger Lee, two top riders in the AMA Supersport class.

Tom, Nicky's older brother, is the defending AMA Supersport Champion and current leader of the series after winning the sixth round of the season in early June at Elkhart Lake. ‘Rog', the youngest of the three, completed a ‘Hayden 1-2' in that race and currently holds third overall.

The two Kawasaki riders will be eager to shine next week at Laguna Seca, as the AMA Supersport event will be one of the support races for the MotoGP event. They already had a first taste of MotoGP last season when they came to visit their brother at Valencia for the last round of the year.
