Hayden scores historic win for Honda

Repsol Honda's Nicky Hayden clinched his first MotoGP win in Sunday's Red Bull US Grand Prix while also making history by delivering Honda their first victory in the premier-class at Laguna Seca.

"It is so much a dream come true. It just feels so good to win," said Hayden, who delivered a flawless performance starting from the pole position for the first time in his career. "I haven't won anything since 2002, other than the dating game, and to win the GP feels awesome."

"My team, my bike, everything felt good today. It just clicked and I got out fast and kept going as hard as I could. At times I'd see the gap getting smaller and I'd just run my heart out and keep pushing and pushing."

"Today was my day. Thanks to my team, these guys pushed me hard. Every dog has his day, it all clicked for me today and it feels really, really nice."
