Miralles on the road to recovery

Julián Miralles is recovering from surgery on his right leg after injuring himself in the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello. The Spanish rider suffered various fractures to his right tibial and malleolus and underwent various operation.

The youngster from Valencia is set to miss the two next rounds and could make his comeback in late August at Brno, when the Championship resumes after the summer break.

The rider lost almost 18 pounds since his accident and will face a real race to fitness if he is to ride in Czech Republic. He has started gym work and pool exercises, but he's still in a wheechair. He will undergo further medical check next week in order to see if his fractures are healed enough to allow him to walk.
