Dani Pedrosa extends run of top six finishes

World Champion Dani Pedrosa has dominated the 250cc class since the beginning of last year. In the twenty-three races he has started he has finished in the top six on twenty-two occasions; the exception being the second race of last year at Jerez when he crashed in the wet conditions.

Consequently he is now on a run of twenty-one consecutive top six finishes which has only been bettered by three riders in the 57-year history of Grand Prix racing, as shown in the following list which shows all the riders that have had more than fifteen consecutive top-six finishes in the 250cc class:

Successive top six finishes in 250cc class
34 – Luca Cadalora – Honda (1990/91/92)
26 – Sito Pons – Honda (1988/89)
22 – Jim Redman – Honda (1960/61/62)
21 – Ralf Waldmann – Honda (1996/97)
Dani Pedrosa – Honda (2004/05)
