London's calling for Rossi

Valentino Rossi is a fond resident of London, having moved to the British capital city five years ago to escape the adulation he was receiving back home in Italy. Last month, the MotoGP superstar met the media in London ahead of the British Grand Prix, and explained his love affair with the city.

"London is a great city, I really like it," he said. "At least I can go out without any problem, I feel really free compared to what it was in Italy. There are some really nice restaurants – you can find any kind of food as it's a truly cosmopolite city, the mix of cultures is very interesting."

"The night life is great as well, there are many different places and it's good fun. London is also a great city if you like shopping, be it clothing, shoes, you can find a lot of stuff."

Rossi certainly loves plying his trade in England: he's the most successful rider at the British GP in recent years, Donington Park being one of his favourite tracks. Last month, he secured his fifth win out of six starts in the premier class at the Derbyshire track.
