Fortuna Honda rider Jorge Lorenzo was back on top of the timesheets in the final free practice session of Gauloises Ceske Republiky Grand Prix at Brno. The Spaniard, who was denied provisional pole position on Friday afternoon by Dani Pedrosa, managed to beat the defending World Champion by 0.2s.

Alex de Angelis was third fastest behind Pedrosa, despite crashing midway through the session. Japanese Hiroshi Aoayama was fourth fastest, ahead of Andrea Dovizioso and Casey Stoner.

Italian veteran Roberto Locatelli was eighth fastest, trailing Randy de Puniet by 0.243s. The top 10 was completed by Sebastian Porto and Sylvain Guintoli, who was the fastest privateer of the session.
