Lüthi dictates the pace

Championship leader Thomas Lüthi was the fastest in this morning's free practice session at Brno. The Honda rider dominated most of the session and consistently improved his lap times, only occasionally being knocked off pole position by Aprilia's Marco Simoncelli.

Simoncelli eventually ended the session in second position, ahead of Spaniard Sergio Gadea and Hungarian Gabor Talmacsi. Provisional pole holder Mika Kallio was fifth fastest, 0.486s adrift of the pace-setter.

French riders Mike di Meglio and Alexis Masbou were sixth and seventh fastest respectively, ahead of Fabrizio Lai, Lorenzo Zanetti and Sandro Cortese.
