Miralles makes welcome return

Team MVA Aspar rider Julian Miralles is back in the action this weekend after missing the last four GPs. The young Spaniard suffered a heavy crash at Mugello back in early June, suffering multiple fractures to his right leg.

Miralles had to undergo intense treatment and work hard to regain his fitness as he lost almost 18 pounds in the month following the operation. He was given the all-clear to ride at Brno on Thursday afternoon after passing a medical at the Clinica Mobile, but admits he is still not completely at ease on the bike yet.

"I would like to be much closer to the front but there is no need to be rushing for now, in any case I'm very happy to be back in Grand Prix racing after a three-month lay-off," said the 16-year-old from Alberic.

"I don't really feel too comfortable with the bike, I obviously can't move my feet as I would like to," he explained. "We tried to adapt the bike as well as we could, we changed the seat, the handlebars and the footpegs so I could find a position that allows me to do consecutive laps."
