New injury blow for unlucky Miralles

Julian Miralles has suffered a new injury blow after crashing whilst practising supermotard. The young Spaniard has broken the same shinbone on which he underwent surgery after his horrendous crash in Mugello and will now miss the next few races.

Miralles had made his return to World Championship action at Brno following two months on the sidelines due to the injuries he sustained at Mugello - multiple fractures of his shin and ankle.

The MVA Aspar will now undergo further surgery to repair the broken shinbone and check on the old injury. Doctors have so far only detected a crack in the shinbone, but further X-rays will determine is he has aggravated the old injuries.
