Spanish riders meet ambassador in Malaysia

Two days before qualifying for the Marlboro Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix gets underway at the circuit of Sepang, a number of Spanish riders went to a reception at the house of Spanish ambassador in Malaysia, German Bejarano.

Also present at the function was a delegation from Dorna Sports led by Carmelo Ezpeleta, a number of representatives from the diplomatic service in Kuala Lumpur and also some of the Spanish community who live in the Malaysian capital who did not want to miss out on the opportunity to meet and greet the MotoGP stars ahead of the 13th round of the World Championship which takes place on Sunday.

Among the riders present were MotoGP class stars Carlos Checa, Toni Elias and Ruben Xaus and also representatives from both the 250 and 125 categories in the form of Hector Faubel, Sergio Gadea, Jordi Carchano, Mateo Tunez, Pablo Nieto and Enrique Jerez. All of the riders enjoyed the reception and the chance to mingle with the public ahead of this weekend's Grand Prix.
