MotoGP stars gather for Italian Motorshow

Several MotoGP stars, including World Champion Valentino Rossi, will take part in the Moto & Miti Championshow held this weekend at Pesaro. The event is a popular motorshow founded by former Grand Prix winner Graziano Rossi, father of the seven-time World Champion.

The riders will compete in various exhibition events, including Supermotard, Rally, Kart and Minimoto races. The fans will also have the opportunity to wander around a virtual paddock made up by the teams involved in various World Championships.

"The idea is quite simple: the stars of the MotoGP World Championship joins us in Pesaro to have fun, the only rule of the competition is to let them enjoy themselves," explained Rossi senior. "Many motorshows have lost sight of the passion factor, always reducing the space dedicated to two-wheel racing. The Championshow is a celebration of the sport and its stars. In Pesaro, there are no longer barriers between the fans and the riders so everybody can bask in the sheer fun of the event."

The Rally event will see Valentino Rossi racing against his own father, but also former 125 World Champion Andrea Dovizioso, MotoGP star Ruben Xaus and up and coming Italian starlet Marco Simoncelli. They will be joined by many other Grand Prix riders for the Supermotard race, including Mika Kallio, Ant West and Mattia Pasini. Other events will see the participation of Spanish youngster Hector Barbera and even the Yamaha Factory team manager Davide Brivio.

The Moto & Miti Championshow kicked off on Thursday, November 10th, in Pesaro, and will end on Sunday the 13th.
