Rolfo ‘in a bit of a standstill'

As the 2006 MotoGP grid is getting into shape, Roberto Rolfo still has to secure a ride for next season. Even if he took part to the Valencia test last week with the D'Antin Pramac team, the Italian rider is currently talking with team manager Luis d'Antin in order to reach an agreement within the next few days.

"I'm still unsure about the future, at the moment the situation is blocked by various factors, it's quite complicated," said Rolfo. "We may find a solution next week, I have to speak with Luis to see what he plans to do, but also see what is Pramac (the team co-owner) position and see if we can continue together in 2006."

"I would like to continue the project we started this year, with D'Antin and Ducati - we still have to see if we can work with Bridgestone or if the team decides to work again with Dunlop. But I know that other riders, such as Ellison and Cardoso, are also considered and there's nothing sure at the moment."

"It's a bit of a standstill at the moment and I don't have any work schedule. Riders like Biaggi or Barros are in a similar situation right now."
