Hayden ready to hit the track again

Repsol Honda's Nicky Hayden is preparing to head to Malaysia after a well-deserved break back in his home town of Kentucky. The American star will resume testing at the Sepang circuit on Monday, working alongside his new team-mate Dani Pedrosa and most of his MotoGP rivals.

"Things have been silky smooth back home in Kentucky this last week and half or so," said Hayden. "It has been nice to get home and spend a little time with my family and friends, even though I've still been a bit busy with a few PR things."

"It has been nice to get all caught up around the home. I leave soon to head back to Malaysia to get back down to business. I know the areas I think I need to improve on, so we're ready to get back and go back to work so we will be ready come round 1 next year."

Nicky Hayden took third overall in the 2005 MotoGP World Championship and clinched his first victory in the premier class at Laguna Seca. In 2006 he will ride for the Repsol Honda team for a fourth consecutive season.
