The Ducati Marlboro team completed their test session at the Jerez circuit in Spain on Wednesday. The Italian outfit continued their work on the 2006 version of the Desmosedici, but the equally as importantly the test provided Sete Gibernau with the opportunity to get to know his new team.

On a sunny but windy day, the riders started working at around midday and lapped throughout the afternoon before bringing a close to proceedings at around 5.30pm. Capirossi did back-to-back tests with the GP5, with which he won two races last season, and the new GP6, and posted the fastest time of the day with a lap of 1'40.947. For his part, Gibernau clocked up 60 laps and set a best time of 1'41.024.

Sebastian Porto was the only HRC 250cc rider in action on Wednesday as Andrea Dovizioso completed his programme on Tuesday evening. Porto continued his adaptation to the 2-stroke Honda and managed a total of 47 laps.

Pre-season testing resumes on January 23rd at Sepang where the Ducati Marlboro team will join the Japanese factory teams at the Malaysian venue.
