VIPs flock to the MotoGP paddock at Laguna Seca

The paddock at Laguna Seca was crammed full of famous faces from both the big and small screen who did not want to miss the return of the MotoGP World Championship to the US when the American Grand Prix was held at the Californian circuit back in June.

Big Hollywood stars such as Brad Pitt and Adrien Brody, winner of an Oscar for best actor for his role in ‘The Pianist', were two of the VIPs who provoked most interest in the paddock on the day of the race. Pitt spoke to the American riders to pass on his support ahead of the race, but also took the opportunity to go into the Yamaha box to get to know seven-time World Champion, Valentino Rossi.

Other actors like Orlando Jones and Matt Le Blanc, known for his role in the series Friends, also made the journey to Laguna Seca. The world of sport was represented as well with basketball legend Michael Jordan making an appearance and proving one of the stars of various activities held during the course of the weekend. The presence of the numerous celebrities meant that the Grand Prix became a real media event with a huge press presence at the circuit.
